DAY 1
Depart from your home area in the morning and travel to Sheffield to arrive late afternoon at the Mercure Kenwood Hall Hotel. 3-night stay – dinner, bed & breakfast.
DDAY 2
After breakfast this morning, we take a scenic drive through the Peak District to Bakewell. Here we have time to look around the town and enjoy a coffee break, perhaps with a slice of Bakewell Tart from the Original Pudding Shop. Afterwards, we travel to Matlock in the Derwent Valley where you have free time to explore and enjoy lunch. This afternoon we travel to Chesterfield with the famous Crooked Spire of St Mary’s Church. How did it happen? You have a chance to look around before returning to the hotel.
B, DDAY 3
HAPPY EASTER - After a leisurely breakfast, we journey to visit Chatsworth House home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. Explore over 25 rooms in the house including the Painted Hall, State Rooms, and Sculpture Gallery. Discover more about its art, history, and resident family.
B, DDAY 4
After breakfast, we depart the hotel and begin our journey home with fond memories of our time in the Peak District. We stop off in Lichfield on route home for a bite to eat and a wander around the shops before continuing our journey to Wales.
