Edinburgh Tattoo & Perthshire

Day 1

Depart Wales in the morning and travel up to Scotland, arrive late afternoon at the Salutation Hotel, Perth. 4 nights stay - dinner, bed and breakfast. 3rd night - Bed and Breakfast (Tattoo Evening)

Day 2

After a leisurely breakfast we travel to the capital city of Scotland, Edinburgh. Where we enjoy free time to explore the city at leisure. The city is dominated by the magnificent Edinburgh Castle, an ancient fortress built on a volcanic crag. It is the most visited attraction in Scotland. Other attractions include the gardens on Princes Street, the Old Town, the Royal Mile leading to Holyrood House and much more. Dinner is not included tonight so guests are encouraged to enjoy dinner in the city before taking their seats at the internationally renowned Edinburgh Tattoo. Expect anything and everything - from Highland dancers, fiddle players and steel bands, to martial art performers and daredevil motorbike acrobatic displays. Not to forget a grand finale featuring a rendition of Auld Lang Syne and a spectacular fireworks display. It's a stunning event that gets bigger and better every year!

Day 3

After a leisurely breakfast, we visit the Perth Museum. The highlight of the collection is the recently returned Stone of Scone , known as the 'Stone of Destiny'. The Stone has been used to crown kings and Queens since the 9th Century and featured in the coronation of King Charles III. After our visit the rest of the day is free to explore Perth at leisure.

Day 4

After breakfast, we depart for home with fond memories of our time in Edinburgh.
