DAY 1

Depart from your home area travelling to Scotland, arriving late afternoon at the Winnock Hotel. 4 nights stay – Dinner, Bed and Breakfast.

DAY 2

This morning we make our way to historic Stirling, with its magnificent castle standing on a high plug of volcanic rock at the head of the Old Town. Enjoy free time to explore at leisure. Maybe visit the Church of the Holy Rude (‘Holy Cross’) - worth a look if only for the magnificent stained glass.

This afternoon we travel the short distance to Kilbryde Castle where we enjoy tea/coffee and cake before we stroll around the grounds that are carpeted in snowdrops. A spectacular sight!

DAY 3

This morning we enjoy a sightseeing journey to the little white-washed town of Inveraray. There is time for a look around, obtain a drink and a bite to eat. Perhaps try the iron bru ice-cream!

This afternoon we return down the Loch to Balloch at the very southern tip of Loch Lomond. We visit the ‘Loch Lomond Shores’ outlet where you could enjoy some retail therapy, stretch your legs, or get a hot drink.

DAY 4

After breakfast, we depart for the Trossachs, passing through Aberforyle before heading over the spectacular ‘Dukes Pass’ to Loch Katrine. This drive is often listed as one of the most beautiful in Britain. Later we return making a stop in Aberfoyle, a delightful town in the heart of the national park.

DAY 5

After breakfast, we depart the hotel and begin the journey home, Stopping off in Gretna Green.

3* The Winnock Hotel

Situated in the heart of Loch Lomond National Park, The Winnock Hotel is set in an 18th-century building and features an on-site bar and a restaurant serving British cuisine. Public parking facilities are available free of charge. Rooms are decorated with warm tones and they are all equipped with a TV with satellite channels. Each room comprises a private bathroom fitted with a shower. Some rooms also boast a private balcony and four-poster beds. Guests can enjoy British specialities on the hotel's restaurant, which is open for lunch and dinner. Spirits and soft drinks are available in the bar throughout the day and breakfast is served every morning on the restaurant. An array of outdoor activities including hiking, cycling, fishing and birdwatching can be enjoyed in the green surroundings of The Winnock Hotel.
